Fundació Miranda was born in 2008 in order to save and recover some horses that were suffering from difficult situations, mistreatments, isolation and neglect in order to give them a worthy life. The idea is to let them freely live in a flock, in vast natural areas. We currently host 70 horses and ponies, 6 donkeys and 1 mule, which transform the landscape and contribute to the protection of the territory and to fire prevention.

Our devotion and knowledge, together with the comprehension and respect of horses, people and nature, have been generating a series of projects and collaborations related to horses: educational and scientific projects, social work and curative experiences.

Fundació Miranda’s horses represent a great mirror for people and a real inspiration that make us more aware of what we are and invite us to follow a way of consciousness and self-knowledge.

Experiences
A day with free horses
Municipality (Region)
– Castell de l’Areny, La Nou de Berguedà (Berguedà)

A day to cut off from daily life and to get in touch with horses in their natural habitat, in the space created by Fundació Miranda. A great opportunity to meet some of the first horses of the Foundation and to find out about their wealth, their life in a flock, their preferences and their needs beyond general believes and clichés. To enter in the dimension of horses that live a fulfilling life, to enjoy their presence, their wisdom and their communication. To walk amid free horses and allow yourself to be swept away by the magnificent high mountain landscape of Serra de Catllaràs (Alt Berguedà).
